TURN IT UP! CAMPAIGN 2013

Members posing to take photo for the Union to send to the Board of Supervisors

Four-hundred plus County Employees went to the Bargaining Campaign of 2013 downtown Los Angeles on a early Saturday morning . There, the group was inspired to take a stand and get in the momentum of the upcoming Bargaining Campaign happening in two months, April 16th.  On that day, the appointed union  CEO William Fujioka will meet with Board of Supervisors to propose a budget for 2013 to 2014.  What will help convince the Board of Supervisors to agree with our proposal is show  there are great number of employees outside of the building we want this to happen.   Four year have passed with no increase in wages . Four year of hiring freezes have burdened individuals with stressful work loads. On April 16th it is our time to TURN IT UP!

To recap, the upcoming Bargaining Campaign has started. The union needs each of us to help them by showing up Downtown at on April 16th from 9:00 to 1:00 pm. The bus will come to our work site and pick us up. We just need to turn in a request for time off (158) as soon as possible for that time period. They will give us boxed lunch and a t-shirt. The shirt shows unity. The lunch will help us endure. Plan to win.
